Hi Marlene & Ray,
You are both very welcome! Like any good TL it gives me a thrill to be useful and to get info into the hands of folks who can use it! I also find these videos amazing and I think as researchers we need to figure out how to make our research this accessible. Perhaps that is something CLA should be thinking about? Imagine a similar video that presents the findings of the Colorado study!

This is such an exciting video. My students and I will get to watch it tonight in class. It really makes me stop and wonder what am I doing in my teaching and research that really reflects these powerful ideas. The web 2.0 seems so much about possibilities and I keep looking for answers. How will we prepare students for such a world, especially when the more I view videos like this, the farther away our current system seems to be? I know asking questions is the start but every question seems so BIG and unaswerable.

At the same time I love watching these clips because they do pull the floor out from under me and make me think in new ways.

Thanks for this startling collection of future trends Lyndsay. These are exactly the kinds of global realities and questions that my graduate students will be grappling with this fall in our course and finding ways that libraries can respond. To me, the future of libraries of all types is at a critical turning point and creating innovative and productive programs is an exciting challenge.
